The Correctional Management Institute’s inaugural Senior Level Leadership Development Program held at the George J. Beto Criminal Justice Center February 7 - 12, 2010 was a huge success. Twenty-five participants in Senior Level Leadership positions from various agencies throughout the state including jails, prisons, youth correctional facilities, adult and juvenile probation departments, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, state prisons, parole and others were the beneficiaries of knowledge in academic research from a faculty of academic scholars as well as correctional knowledge from community corrections practitioners in executive positions. In addition, participants were provided with two days of leadership development skills to enhance their abilities as Senior Level Leaders.

LLC; Ed Owens, Retired Deputy Executive Director for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and Doug Dretke, Executive Director for the Correctional Management Institute of Texas.
